About the Wine
Saperavi is Georgia’s best-known red grape variety, valued for its deep color, structure and ability to produce wines with excellent aging potential. Our Saperavi is naturally made in traditional qvevri, reflecting the character of the grape and the traditions of Georgian winemaking.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherry and dark plum, with subtle spice and earthy notes. On the palate, Saperavi is full-bodied and structured, with firm tannins, fresh acidity and a long, dry finish.
Winemaking
The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in traditional Georgian qvevri. Extended contact with the grape skins gives the wine its deep color, structure and characteristic tannins. The wine is made with minimal intervention.
