Tasting Notes

Aromas of ripe apricot, pear and yellow fruit, with delicate honeyed and herbal notes. On the palate, Krakhuna shows fresh acidity, a broad texture and a long, dry finish.

The 2022 Vintage

The 2022 Krakhuna reflects the character of this distinctive Imeretian grape and the traditional qvevri method. The wine shows the variety’s natural freshness and structure, with ripe fruit character and a dry, textured finish. It is a naturally made wine produced with minimal intervention.

Winemaking

The grapes are hand-harvested in Imereti and fermented with native yeasts in traditional Georgian qvevri. Contact with the grape skins gives the wine additional texture and depth while preserving the natural character of the variety. The wine is made with minimal intervention.

Food Pairing

Krakhuna pairs beautifully with traditional Georgian cuisine, fish, poultry, grilled vegetables, fresh salads, soft cheeses and lightly spiced dishes.
